Adoption Curves

Adoption Curves, originally uploaded by Nathan Laurell.

Great chart showing adoption curves for various technologies throughout history. Notice the slope of the adoption curves. In the early 1900s, there was a slow adoption over a period of decades. Then in the 1960s the curves start getting steeper.  By 1990, we go from basically no cell phones to full adoption in less than 15 years. This shows how the rate of change is accelerating.
